Setbacks are frustrating. While down days aren’t the most fun, they do make some space and lighten that mental load for a new day. I appreciate your transparency and openness when sharing your journey and am holding out hope for some clear, calm skies ahead Tony, and perhaps another craft beer or two! Big warm hugs your way!

Thanks Jill. I’m glad my writing frankly is appreciated. Most days, the pen and paper are my only companions and my sounding board. Better days will come, I just need to remind myself more often.

Living outdoors in winter is such a challenge. I recall my winter camping trips from way back.... We came to the conclusion that unless you can get someplace warm and dry every couple days its just too much. Frozen boots and clothes need to be thawed out and my sleeping bag would slowly lose its loft. Even in the tent it kinda sucked as the condensation would freeze and snow down on you. I guess this is my way of saying you are doing remarkably well especially with the weather you've had. Sadly, February may be more of the same, but then it will get better. I bet you can't wait for blackfly season!! 😁

Thanks for your support Dave. Yeah, winter living in a tent is a challenge, especially the long darkness, meaning a lot of time spent in a sleeping bag. I’m just frustrated today and whining too much today. Tomorrow will be better.
